The Shravan series, created during the monsoon of 2009, is more than just a reflection of a season — it is an inner experience. The moisture, greenery, and softness of the monsoon have always touched something deep within me. For me, every season carries a mood, a tone — and Shravan is a moment soaked in quiet contemplation.
In this series, I have painted those subtle elements of nature that often go unspoken — the movement of air, the touch of raindrops, the trembling of leaves. These works are an extension of such intuitive sensations.
The circle appears as a recurring motif in my paintings — a symbol of wholeness, of the self — and it finds form, in some way or another, in nearly every composition.
I seek depth in simplicity rather than complexity. My effort is always to render a scene in a soft, minimal, and living form — much like how raindrops gently land on leaves, without making a sound.
Though the monsoon is a season of vivid colors, for me, the essence of all those hues is revealed through black. In my work, black resounds like silence — steady, simple, and glowing from within — a space where nature and the self become one.
